Plastic Bottle Cap

Was thinking what can I do with a plastic bottle cap? Most time, I seen people using the bottom part of the bottle to store stationary or chopsticks.. Then a thought.. Plastic Bottle cap was meant to tighten the bottle, to prevent leakage.

So I started to experiment.

Indicate where to cut

This was the ultimate test.
Ie: U can use this for biscuits / beans / anything as its air-tight.
But I wanted to see if water would leak out
Insert as shown. Best you experiment on your own

After I tighten it, I threw the packet against the wall.
Woolaa...no drip, no leak, no break :D

Then I google..I found this...:(

Illegal Work At the Kitchen

ahahhaha dont be taken aback. Not so serious.

I am one lazy bum here. During the last Raya holidays, we decided to juice often. So I got very tired after each juice extract as I have to clear and clean the fruit waste, the pulp,  etc.  I then thought to "seal" the juicer so that no ants can enter. True enough. I tested for 6 days. Not a single ant found. It did smell a little fishy as there was some liquid found. Otherwise, this is good. Will continue this illegal work in my kitchen

This is the juicer
#1, I stuck a paper towel at the juice outlet
#2 for the waste/pulp, I line with plastic.
Hence mush easier to thrash and the plastic container was clean. However I still rinse it.

Ikea Photo-frame turn Earring Holder Project

Here is another project I did for the Home Sweet Home.

Got this photo frame at Ikea Mutiara Damansara. Cost: RM4.90

Open it up and assemble it.

In the original packaging, it comes with a plastic board.
This is for you to stick your photo on it.

I got mosquito net, made out of aluminium.
Its best to look for stainless steel type but could not find in my neighborhood stores

Use the plastic board that came with the photo-frame as a guide for sizing.
Just cut along the frame size.

Then insert to the frame

 Then start hanging your jewelries

Overall, I love this creation. Good as gifts.

Entah Apa-apa meal

I think I am hitting mid-life crisis. Because there are days that I rather DONT EAT than EAT because I just dont know what to EAT. I will search the entire kitchen for food (although there is food) but seems not appealing... Is this being fussy or just really a mid-life thing?

Anyway, come desperate times, desperate measures. Found a packet of noodles. I didn't use the seasoning cos its high in MSG. So I made the noodles.

Step 2: Add in whatever sauce I have.. again I m contradicting myself right..Seasoning from the noodle packet is MSG...this 2 bottles also has MSG ....*slap myself*

Step 3: Mix them with some seaweed and fried steam egg.

Dinner is served for me and me alone.

EPF A/C 2 Withdrawal - Part 1

Wow! I've left this blog un-touched for a long time. Well, I have some exciting topics to post, therefore I am returning to blogsphere. No point to blog about "mou-liu" or non-sensual stuff right ;p

One of the topics that I want to post is about our EPF A/c withdrawal.

As a working employee in Malaysia, your employer would need to contribute to the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) or in Malaysia, Kumpulan Wang Simpanan Pekerja (KWSP). Here is their website

When your employer contributes for you, your money will be split to 3 accounts, namely Account 1, Account 2 and Account 3. By right, as the fund says, this money is meant for your retirement. However in today's lifestyle, money is never sufficient. Raising debt is another concern.

Once your money is in EPF, it will automatically split to the 3 accounts.

For account 1, you cant withdraw the money until you are at retirement age. However exception is given for "investment". You can withdraw to a certain percentage for buying Unit Trust OR trade in our local stock market. Do note that whatever profit you make from the Unit Trust or Stock Market, you cannot withdraw. It will automatically plough back to your EPF Account 1.

For account 2, you can withdraw the money to buy your first house or 2nd house** or education..and many more.

For account 3, its for medical assistance.

This is a very basic explanation of our EPF System. Of course, to know more, you should always refer back to the EPF officers or their website.

Stay tune for Part 2 when I discussed more about my personal experience in withdrawing A/c 2 for my 2 houses.

I like Nippon Paint ...

I spent all my money doing up the Master Bed room and my son's room. Hence, other part of the house is left as it is :( However I feel really insecure because I have this health hazardous n "dangerous" room. The 3rd room a.k.a the study cum guest room.

Why? Take a look

- No space to walk at all and at any point, you may trip and fall. No SAFETY
- So many things (bills, books, stationary, rubbish) into this tiny room.
- Because this room is literally no entry, no one bother to clean and tidy up. Hence, the windows are not open, the fan is not switched on for ventilation and now, some smell too...I reckon some people will get sick too...*ha...choooooo*

I like Nippon Paint because they are they color experts. They spend many years in R&D to understand consumer needs and trends. But what is most important that the paint is safe for my kid. My son is only 3yo and that matter most. I was checking out The Nippon Paint Blobbies facebook page recently  http://www.facebook.com/nipponpaintblobbies and found out more interesting benefits too...

Seriously, when I go into Phase 2, 3, and 4 of my house reno, surely the first thing that will pop my mind for paints will be Nippon Paint

Phase 2: Living Hall Reno

What do you think of this design?

If you've been following this blog, you will know that I have embarked on my "renovation journey". This is phase 2 after a one-year span of completion of Phase 1.

In this design, I would need new set of TV to fit the new TV cabinet, sofa and coffee table. Some rugs, bean bags (I like Doof) and curtains.
